Frequently asked questions
Mixing rates vary depending on the size of the multitrack session and the amount of post-production work required beforehand. You’re welcome to send your multitracks for a review prior to committing – this allows me to provide an accurate quote tailored to your project.
Mastering rates depend on your specific needs. I offer both standard stereo mastering, which involves working with a single final stereo mix, and stem mastering for up to 10 individual stems, providing greater control over the final sound while maintaining an efficient and focused workflow.
For recording sessions and audio engineering services, you can choose between two locations in Poland:
– My home studio in Gliwice (ideal for vocal sessions, individual instruments, overdubs, and voice-overs)
– MAQ Records in Wojkowice (suitable for drum recordings, larger setups, or full band sessions)
Studio engineering rates vary depending on the location and scope of the project. My daily rate is £150. For sessions at
MAQ Records, please note that in addition to my fee, a studio hire cost of approximately £200 per day (1000 PLN) applies. Accommodation is also available at MAQ Records for approximately £10 per day (50 PLN) per
person.
Each mixing and / or mastering fee includes two revisions free of charge, ensuring the final result aligns closely with your vision. Additional revisions will incur an extra charge per revision, with rates quoted individually based on the specifics of each project.
For revision requests, I would kindly ask that you email your detailed notes. If preferred, you’re also welcome to arrange a phone or video call, or take part in an attended online session using AUDIOMOVERS LISTENTO software, which allows you to hear changes in real time as they happen.
Like in all professional studios providing online services, there is a “Payment First” policy. This is not a personal matter but simply a result of years of experience in managing payments and invoices. Payment for additional revisions must be made after the final version of the project has been approved, but before the delivery of all applicable files. Payment for studio engineering and recording services must be made within maximum of 7 days after the session, unless agreed otherwise by all parties.
For refund policy, please refer to §4 of my Terms and Conditions, available at:
You can take advantage of discounted rates when submitting multiple songs for mixing and/or mastering. Working on several tracks within the same project allows for a more efficient workflow, which I am pleased to reflect in the pricing.
You accept the responsibility for storage and archiving of all mixes, masters & any other files as well as the source materials once a project has been approved and files have been delivered. I will endeavour to store backup of all sessions, final mix and/or master files, but I do not provide a guaranteed archival service.

GENERAL:
As part of the submission process, please ensure that all files are clearly labelled for easy identification. Please avoid the use of ALL-CAPS in file names to maintain a clean and professional presentation. I accept WAV or AIFF files. No MP3 or M4A will be accepted for mixing or mastering. Please ensure that all tracks begin from bar one, are of equal length, and share the same format and sample rate. Additionally, disable the ‘Normalise’ function during export (if available in your DAW).
All files should be placed in a folder named using the following information:
Artist Name – Song Title – Tempo* – Time Signature – Date of upload
*If your song contains tempo changes, please include a tempo map, or detailed notes for the tempo changes.
FOR MIXING:
When submitting your files, please include comprehensive mix notes outlining production details, intended mixing effects, and any reference tracks – whether from other artists, your own catalogue, or a reference mix of the submitted song created by your producer.
Tracks may be submitted in either mono or stereo. I would kindly request that all multitrack files be provided in a dry state, free from effects such as reverb, delay, EQ, or compression. However, if specific effects, processing, or creative elements (such as filter sweeps, delays or even EQ and Compression) are essential to the sound, you are welcome to leave them enabled. If a dry version of any particular track is needed, I will contact you before any mixing work begins. For vocal tracks processed with Melodyne or Auto-Tune, please ensure the pitch correction is printed into the delivered audio. If your session includes MIDI or virtual instruments, please export them as audio files. MIDI files are not accepted for mixing unless you explicitly request replacement of specific virtual instruments, which may incur additional production charges.
FOR MASTERING:
For stereo mastering, please submit the following:
– Full Mix (32-bit or 24-bit WAV file)
– Full Mix with Limiter as reference (32-bit or 24-bit WAV file)
– Optional: Backing Track (32-bit or 24-bit WAV file)
– Optional: Instrumental (32-bit or 24-bit WAV file)
If your song contains explicit lyrics, please provide both the explicit and clean versions of the mix in order to receive clean and explicit masters.
For stem mastering, please submit up to 10 stems (24-bit or 32-bit WAV files) tailored to your project.
Ensure that none of the stems are clipping.
I would kindly ask that you review my terms and conditions, as engaging my services constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms.
